CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

- Location: Wreaths can be placed indoors or outdoors. All of our decorations and ribbon are waterproof or weather resistant. If placed outdoors, avoid locations that receive direct sunlight, especially in warmer climates.

If you keep your wreath indoors, avoid placing it near heat sources, such as above heaters or active fireplaces, or in the direct draft of a heat register or fan. Because the air is much drier indoors, we recommend that you mist it with water every few days to keep it fresh and fragrant and to keep the reindeer moss soft and fluffy.

- Dropping needles: It’s normal for your wreath to drop a small amount of needles, or “sprills” over the course of its life. This sprilling should be minimal and should not affect the appearance or longevity of the wreath. It’s very rare for a wreath to drop needles excessively, affecting the appearance of the product, but if this happens, contact us and we’ll send a replacement free of charge.

- Drying: All wreaths will begin to dry out over time, regardless of where they are kept and how they are cared for. However, due to a natural process that the fir undergoes to prepare for winter, the needles will remain green and attached to the wreath long after drying. It’s not unusual for wreaths to last for several months, still looking beautiful after the branches have completely dried! If you feel that your wreath is drying prematurely, be sure it isn’t near a heat source or moving air, such as near a heater register. Spritzing the wreath with water every couple of days will help delay the drying process.

- Scent: Like a real Christmas tree, the wonderful scent of the Balsam Fir will begin to fade over time. When this happens, you can “freshen” it up by crushing some of the needles, vigorously “fluffing” and scrunching the branches a little bit, or even scraping the branches on the back of the wreath with a fork or other instrument. This all helps release more of the natural essential oils that give Balsam Fir that aroma we love so much.
